J. Christopher Banwart, M.D., sub-specializes in knee and hip replacement. He utilizes the latest technology in computer-assisted knee replacements, and is a proponent of Direct Anterior Total Hip replacement. His focus is complication prevention and post-op multimodal pain management, and his surgical focus is on knee and hip replacement and revision. Dr. Banwart earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1992 and completed his orthopedic residency in 1997 at the University of Kansas, Wichita. Dr. Banwart is board certified in orthopedic surgery and has two fellowships, the first in sports medicine at Tahoe Orthopedics & Sports Institute and the second a joint replacement and revision fellowship at the Kansas Joint Replacement Institute.
