Procedure/Treatment:
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome | Wrist Surgery (both wrists)
“Powerlifting is a hobby and a passion of mine, specifically bench press. In order to bench large amounts of weight, grip strength is essential, and mine was diminishing rapidly. There were times I couldn’t even finish a workout due the pain in my wrists. I was worried my competitive powerlifting would be cut short due to my increasing limitations. I had previously heard that I would need a more complicated surgery to fix my problem, but my doctor assured me that he could fix my wrists in a less invasive way and have me back to normal in no time – and he did. Bouncing back so quickly after surgery, and without complications was a great surprise. From the paperwork to the surgery, everyone I encountered at Ortho Four States was kind and considerate to me and my wife, and treated me like a person and not a number. The facility is top notch, with a beautiful campus. My doctor and post op nurses were awesome, and the care I received was very individualized. I was treated like a friend. Less than three months out from surgery I had a powerlifting competition and was able to set a National Record with a 534-lb. bench press in the federation I compete.”
Before Treatment at Ortho Four States:
“For at least 5 years prior to treatment at Ortho Four States, I had been dealing with numbness in my hands and even up into my arms while performing activities such as driving, sleeping, or just any other normal activity in my day. Many nights I would wake up with both arms completely numb and would have to lay off the end of the bed or hang my arms off the bed trying to get feeling back into them so that I would fall back to sleep.”
