ORTHO FOUR STATES CELEBRATES RADIOLOGY STAFF DURING NATIONAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY WEEK NOVEMBER 5-11
Galena, KS – November 5, 2018 – Orthopaedic Specialists of the Four States (Ortho Four States) — the Four State Area’s largest and most comprehensive neck-to-toe orthopedic, spine and sports medicine care group and facility — celebrates its radiology staff during National Radiologic Technology Week, which recognizes the important role diagnostic imaging has played in the field of medicine and the invention of the X-ray.
Diagnostic imaging has greatly improved since the X-ray was first discovered in 1895. According to Kerri Williams, Director of Imaging Services, the invention of the X-ray and MRI has been instrumental in providing high-quality patient care.
“Most people know that the X-ray is used to produce images of inside the body,” Williams said. “What the general public often doesn’t know about are the various advanced radiology systems that perform sophisticated medical tests using X-rays, such as therapeutic treatments and injections.” The radiology staff at Ortho Four States is composed of eight radiologic technologists and seven MRI techs. They average 150 x-rays per day and 325 MRIs per month.
“X-ray and MRI technology allows us to produce high-quality images that help physicians quickly and accurately detect, diagnose and treat injury and illness,” Williams added. “Our team is extremely dedicated to providing the best possible patient care, and we’re excited to celebrate our achievements during National Radiologic Technology Week.”
